Why I love what I love: Part One

So, these next few blogs will be about things I love to do. They are not in any particular order, just whatever comes to my head. I'm not sure how many there will be, so I apologize in advance if you begin to get bored.

Dancing. I decided to start with this because I forgot to list it in my hobbies.
I love to dance. It is a lot of fun. My favorite dance is the Tango, closely followed by Salsa and Swing. When I dance, I feel confident, beautiful. You have to be able to trust your partner. There is a movie with Antonio Banderas called Take the Lead. I really enjoy this movie.

This is just one of the quotes from the movie. I think it can be applied to anything, at least as far as ambitions and dreams go. If you love something, then you were made to do it.

I'm actually involved in Social Dance Society at my school. Currently, I'm the Secretary and, starting this week, President. We do a lot of Swing and Salsa. I kinda want to learn the Foxtrot. Well, actually I have learned it, it was just 4 years ago, and I have forgotten some of it. It is sad that most people do not know how to do Ballroom Dancing. They are just so much fun to do, and look sophisticated. Plus, some of the moves, especially in the Latin dances, are sexy. JSYK.

So, I decided to start blogging. I'm not going to have a lot to say, but I decided to do it mainly just to get my thoughts out. I don't really know how far I will be able to keep it up. But I will try to update when I can. Comment and telll me what you think. Please, don't be mean.

Let me tell you about me. I'm a 23 year old theater major. I'm in my 4th year of college, but since I just changed my major (again), I still have another 3 or 4 semesters left until I can graduate. I like to read, a lot. Harry Potter is just one of my favorites. Agatha Christi, Jane Austen, Nicholas Sparks, Percy Jackson, Dan Brown, The Historian, etc., are others that I enjoy reading. I like watching movies. Harry Potter, chick flicks, and classics like Breakfast at Tiffanys, You've Got Mail, Princess Bride. Not to mention the classic Disney movies: Lion King, Cinderella, Mulan. And Moulin Rouge, The Complete Works of Shakespeare Abridged.

TV shows. Doctor Who, HIMYM, Big Bang Theory, House, Buffy, One Tree Hill, Boy Meets World. I also like the new show Coming Home, though I have only seen one episode.

Music. Wrock is currently my favorite. I also enjoy Jeremy Camp, Skillet, David Crowder, Skyway Flyer, All Caps.

I currently work at my school library. Thinking of maybe getting my second degree in library studies, but that will be after I graduate with my theater degree.
