Christmas and the New Year

Christmas was good. Got to spend some time with my family. Now I am back spending time with my roommate before spring semester starts up again. Lucinda is coming today to celebrate the new year with us, so that should be fun. She will be spending a semester in Wales. This will be probably the last time we see here before she leaves. We will be having a Supernatural marathon and eating some yummy goodness.

My 2011 resolution was to give up pop for a year. I have kept up this resolution, at least, from Jan 2011 to this current time I haven't had any pop. I don't plan on having any here, so I know that I will have it fully completed by the time 2012 begins.

2012 resolution: continue my no pop thing, giving me two years without it (roommate has gone almost 7 years without it). To add to it, I am committing myself to make straight A's my last year at NSU. I will be graduating next December, so I want to go out in style. I had all A's last spring, so I know I can do it. I'm going to have to work my butt off, but my roommate will see to it that I get all my studying done.

Fairy Godmother and the Wonderful Weekend She Gave Me

I guess the wonderful weekend started Friday night when we went out to eat at Chilis. I hadn't been to Chilis in awhile so  I was glad to go. I had my usual cajun chicken pasta with a cup of potato soup. For dessert we shared this amazing Red Velvet Molten Lava Cake (by we I mean, my Fairy Godmother, her husband, her friend, and myself; there was another friend  there, but he didn't have any).

Then, on Saturday Fairy Godmother took me, roommate, and Lucinda to the ballet. We stopped off at Kohls so we could get new dresses and stuff. Then we had lunch at the Spaghetti Warehouse.

Then yesterday we did some more shopping. She did some of her Christmas shopping, but she also got me some new things. Some of the things I really needed. Roommate was able to join us for the last part of the trip. After the shopping was over we went to Panera Bread. Lunch was at Pei Wei, this wonderful Asian restaurant (roommate was not there for that, but Fairy Godmother's daughter and her SO were there; the SO actually paid for lunch).

My outfits for the whole weekend:
a little black dress
a little slinky black dress, with leggings to wear underneath (the dress is a sweater dress)
4 pairs of shoes
2 jackets
a purse
2 pairs of jeans
1pair of slacks
a dressy poncho
a wrap
and several shirts, tanktops, and undergarments

Taking advantage

So, I'm staying with a friend for a week so that I won't be charged for staying in the dorm during Christmas break. I haven't bee sleeping the house. I have been sleeping in a camper they brought over for me. It gives me more privacy, and I won't have a dog jumping on me all the time. I can come and go from the house anytime. The stove doesn't work in the camper, and there is no microwave or hot water. Oh, and the bathroom is really, really small. She pretty much as given me free reign. I can help myself to food, DVDs, laundry.

Last night we went to Walmart to get some stuff. She doesn't really know what food I like, so she let me pick out some stuff.

Tomorrow we are going to see the ballet in Tulsa. Roommate is going to. My friend said that she has coupons for Kohl's so are all getting new dresses. I might possibly be getting new shoes. She is going to fix my hair and makeup.

It sounds cool and everything, but sometimes I just feel like I'm taking advantage of her.

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas...

1) Social Dance Society had a Yule Ball on 2 Dec. We partnered with N.E.W.T.S (HP group on campus; part of HPA). It was fun.

2) Auditions for spring semester was 6 Dec. I made callbacks for 3 characters in Can't Take It With You.

3) My birthday was 7 Dec! Roommate got me HP 1, and some chocolate truffles. Another friend got me pair of earrings. Theatre had a Christmas party. People kept stealing my gifts. I ended up with a poster about what you learn from video games.

4) Finals start 8 Dec. *headdesk*

5) Final Directing scenes 10 Dec.

6) Finished the last of my finals on 12 Dec.

7) Did stuff for my pen pal's Christmas package 13 Dec. Since she reads this blog, I will not say what it is.

Christmas is almost here! Time to start watching Christmas movies. Watched White Christmas a few days ago. It is my favorite Christmas movie. The only other Christmas movie I have is The Holiday. I need to get some more.
